About

CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) focuses on helping children within the Akron community develop and sustain healthy habits that prepare them to succeed in school and in life. We go to over 20 difference sites during our 10 week fall session. We focus on teaching Akron Public School students nutrition lessons, do some fun physical activity lessons and games, and also prepare a healthy recipe for them to enjoy. To develop strong relationships with children we serve, we encourage volunteers to commit to the entire 10 week session. We work with children after school, during the 2:30-5 p.m. time frame.
