About

Please feel free to come and lend a helping hand this year for Earth Day by volunteering at the former community garden located at Bridgeway Academy (formerly known as Helping Hands Center for Special Needs). EVERYBODY is welcome!

Due to extenuating circumstances, the garden was officially closed down at the end of last year. However, there still remains a boatload of spring cleaning that's needed in order to return those grounds in the same condition as they were given to our community at large. To boot, there are PLENTY of free perennials that are up for grabs to whomever that would be happy to give them a new home! Some of these floral friends include: comfrey/borage, various raspberries & blackberries, day lilies, elderberry, yarrow, peppermint/spearmint, a few select trees and various other gems.

We hope to accomplish the following:
-Cleaning out all of the raised beds as best as possible
-Preparing the raised beds for potential future use
-Cleaning up dead brush from last year
-Removing litter and unnecessary supplies

Please feel free to join us with this spring cleaning, so to speak. Even if it tickles your fancy to only grab some free plants and jet quickly, please feel free to do so. Nothing should ever go to waste, no strings attached. Please dress accordingly for the weather, and unfortunately there won't be any food or beverage provided. Also, please feel free to spread the love by sharing this with your friends. Cheers!
